Web Cameras in Reservoir Construction Fields
<< Back
For the four major rivers restoration project, which is to be launched in October, an Integral Project Management System will be established in order to prevent delay and eliminate difficulty in project management caused by simultaneous undertaking of various projects.
Especially, briefing rooms and web cameras will be placed in construction fields to see progress in real time and to remove unnecessary field inspection.
The Office for the Four Major Rivers Restoration made a service contract with Hanmiparsons Consortium for establishing the integral project management system and held a briefing session on 17th.
Once the integral PM system is established, construction progress data of each project undertaken by regional construction and management administrations, local governments and the Korea Water Resources Consortium, etc. will be put together in a standard form and analyzed, which will enable systematic project management.
Furthermore, various projects, led by the Ministry of Environment and the Ministry of Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, for water quality improvement, agricultural reservoirs building and farm remodeling will also managed under the integral PM system.
So far, the four major rivers restoration project has increased concerns such as difficulty in PM and delay of construction progress since various projects are simultaneously undertaken across the nation for a short period of time. However, the integral PM system is expected to reduce such concerns.
